Sven Hjalmarsson had a remarkable experience when he followed on assignment an unidentified flying object over the Baltic Sea.

According to lieutenant Sven Hjalmarsson, with 15 years flight experience, after taking off from Kalmar Air Force Wing (Kalmar Flygflottilj, F12 Kalmar), "It was an usual flight training, I was between Öland isle and Gotland on a routine flight". He added,"When arrived near the object, my radar locked on to the target, it didn't move at all, remaining static". The object was visible both on the ground radar of Kalmar (arriving from the east) and on Sven on-board radar, it was at 1000 meters, hanging above the Baltic Sea. He saw it during 15-20 seconds, then the object rose, and Sven chased it at Mach 2 on a 70° steep climb, up to 10000 meters, the object remaining at 40 kilometers, then it shooted up vertically at an incredible speed towards the outerspace.
